our reserves

The Trust manages 34 Nature Reserves covering over 2000 acres of woodland, wetland, upland and meadow. The map below shows all our current reserves and their location within the Trust's area. Each circled number represents a reserve; reserve names are listed to the right of the page. Click on a number and it will take you to the relevant reserve.

Getting there:

We encourage visitors to use environmentally friendly forms of transport wherever possible. Most of our reserves are easily accessible by bicycle, with many close to the National Cycle Network. This is the flagship project of Sustran (the sustainable transport charity), who work on practical projects to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport in order to reduce motor traffic and its adverse effects. Within each reserves page, there is a link to an interactive map showing cycle paths near the reserve.

Guidlines for visitors
In order to protect the site for wildlife and other visitors, we ask that you follow the guidelines listed below: Please:

make no unnecessary noise
keep dogs under strict control at all times for the sake of wildlife and other users.

The Trust accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury or damage howsoever caused which may be sustained while visiting the reserves.
